Description:
The diaphragm expansion vessel is used in a closed heating installation. Its role is to compensate for differences in water volume when the temperature in the system changes, preventing it from being subjected to overpressures that can lead to component failure or pipe bursting.
Designed for vertical installation, with support elements.
Construction elements:
- body: made of alloy steel, finished with polyester powder electrostatic coating.
- diaphragm: made of EPDM, replaceable, resistant to aging and temperatures up to 115 °C, manufactured according to DIN 4807. The diaphragm separates the heating circuit from the vessel walls by an air chamber (air cushion).
Characteristics:
- nominal air pressure: 1.5 bar
- water temperature: -10... +110 °C
- precharge pressure: 2 bar
The size of the expansion vessel is chosen according to the water volume of the installation and the maximum heat output of the installation.
